Privacy & Identity Control

Control how identity and narrative perspective appear in resumes and profiles

Privacy & Identity Control features help you control how a person is referred to in a CV or resume and how much identifying information is shown. These tools are useful when you need to anonymize the CV or resume, remove first-person references, adjust pronoun usage, or change the narrative perspective.

These features can be accessed through the AI dropdown when working within a section of the CV/resume, or by using the checkbox next to one or more sections and applying an AI action.

Watch our guide on how to use AI Tools within Allsorter.

Now, let us delve into the details of each feature.

Anonymize

This feature helps remove identifying information. It replaces names, company names, school names and other personal data with placeholders, ensuring privacy and confidentiality, which is particularly useful when sharing documents externally or for anonymized hiring processes.

First Person

The First Person feature rewrites content using first-person language, such as “I” or “we". It is useful when the resume needs to be written from the candidate’s own point of view.

Watch this comprehensive guide to see the First Person AI feature in action and understand how it works.

Third Person

This feature rewrites content to describe the candidate from a third-person, external perspective. It removes first-person language and uses "he", "she", or "they", based on the gender selected in the Candidate Information section.

No Pronouns

This feature removes personal pronouns like “he,” “she,” or “they”. The content is rewritten to focus on skills, responsibilities, and achievements without referring directly to a person. Ideal for formal settings or when maintaining a highly professional and detached narrative.

Watch this guide to learn how to adjust a CV/resume to remove all personal pronouns.
