Can Allsorter redact sensitive candidate information?

Allsorter automatically redacts candidate information.

Redacting Information with Full Reformat

With Allsorter's Full Reformat tool, you can choose exactly what information is shown on your reformatted/ exported CV. Unless specifically requested by your organisation, your templates will not include tags for candidate contact details, so they will not appear in the reformatted document.

You can exclude contact information and/or the candidate's name. By leaving out dates, company and school names, you can also anonymize the CV further. Our AI Anonymize tool allows you to go a step further in maintaining the candidate's anonymity while providing the maximum information to the hiring manager.

By default, any sensitive personal data like ethnicity, religion or belief, political opinions, health or medical information, biometric identifiers, genetic data etc. will not be extracted by the system.

If you would like to add, remove, or change any information in your resume template, please contact support@allsorter.com with clear instructions.
Please include:

  • What information should be added, removed, or changed
  • Where the new section or information should appear in the template
  • Any example text or formatting requirements, if applicable

Redacting Information with Preserve Original

With the Preserve Original template, you can maintain the candidate’s resume exactly as it was provided while still applying your company branding. To protect sensitive details, you can use the Auto Redact feature to selectively remove information.

Simply check the boxes next to the details you want to redact — such as contact information, address, or other identifiers — and they will be hidden from the final version, while the rest of the resume remains unchanged.

Please watch this short guide for a step-by-step demonstration on how to redact information while preserving the candidate’s original resume format.
